Our verdict on WorkOrder
WorkOrder brings customer intake, repair jobs, equipment records, employee time tracking, and invoicing into one web application. It is aimed at independent repair shops and small service businesses that need to organize incoming work and connect it to customer charges. Staff can record reported problems, set priorities, assign work, and document equipment and components, including make, model, serial number, accessories, and condition notes. The product is focused on operational work rather than replacing accounting software, making it a better fit for teams seeking a job workflow than a full financial system.
WorkOrder’s paid access is offered as three plans, each with access to the complete application: Monthly costs $24.95 per month; 1-Year costs $274.45 as a one-time annual payment; and 2-Year costs $499 as a one-time annual payment. A 14-day trial is available, and there is no free plan. Because the plans share the same application access, the choice is mainly about payment term rather than different feature sets. Small teams can evaluate whether the workflow suits their operation during the trial, then weigh monthly payment against the upfront cost of a longer term.
The product’s strongest fit is the link between work orders and payment handling. Operational invoices can be associated with customers and work orders, customers can pay through Square or Stripe links, and staff can review daily payments and reconcile cash. Employee clock-in and clock-out tracking also brings team time records alongside service work. Choose WorkOrder if these intake, equipment-record, time, and invoice processes belong together in your shop. It is less suitable for businesses seeking a broader maintenance system: preventive maintenance, inventory, and mobile access are not part of its described feature set. Teams needing those capabilities or a replacement for accounting software should consider a different tool.
