It combines forecast models with information from personal weather stations, making it a fit for people who want local weather detail alongside map-based tools. Interactive radar and satellite imagery, severe-weather alerts, and customizable map overlays support a more visual way to follow conditions. The focus is on hyperlocal weather rather than a broad collection of unrelated features.
The Free plan provides ad-supported access to core features. Premium removes ads and adds Smart Forecasts for outdoor activities, plus extended hourly forecasts up to 15 days. The app subscription is annual. The website also describes a separate Ad Free subscription for wunderground.com; that subscription does not provide Premium app access. Buyers should distinguish between the website option and the app's Premium plan when deciding which features they want.
