Our verdict on Watchletic

Watchletic is a running workout app for runners who want structured sessions on Apple Watch, whether they create intervals themselves or follow plans from supported training services. During a run, the watch can show workout steps, targets, live metrics, and alerts. The app also supports Bluetooth sensors such as Stryd foot pods and heart-rate monitors, and syncs workouts with Apple Health. Its emphasis is on executing and reviewing structured runs rather than serving as a broad general-purpose running platform.

The free plan includes core workout features, custom structured workouts and workout plans, Apple Health sync, and workout export. Premium adds imports for scheduled workouts and FIT files, along with advanced workout graphs. The pricing page says the local subscription price appears before purchase, so runners should check the in-app offer for their region before deciding whether those additions are worth paying for. The distinction is practical: runners who mainly build their own sessions can start with the free plan, while those relying on imported schedules need Premium.

Its coaching-service connections include TrainingPeaks, Final Surge, Intervals.icu, Nolio, Runcoach, and others, while completed sessions can be exported as GPX, TCX, or FIT files and sent to connected analysis and coaching services. Custom data layouts and pacing splits add flexibility during runs, and post-workout statistics support review. Watchletic is a good fit for runners whose training already lives in supported services and who want workout guidance on a watch; runners seeking a clearly watch-first Apple Watch product may prefer an alternative, since the product also supports Wear OS and its platform presentation leaves that fit less certain.
