UniKiosk is an Android application for turning tablets, TV sticks, set-top boxes, and commercial Android panels into digital signs or locked-down kiosks. It suits organizations that need free signage across Android 9+ devices, especially where content must continue playing without internet access, an account, or a subscription. The Free plan costs £0 per screen per month and includes unlimited screens, all 26 widgets, full kiosk lockdown, an on-device admin console, 451 templates across 44 trades, and offline operation.
Its strongest area is signage depth. Grid-based layouts support media, text, RSS feeds, ICS calendar feeds, charts, QR codes, web frames, weather lookups, and other widgets. Administrators can create drafts, publish layouts, roll back changes, and import or export layouts. Media, video, typeface, and network-folder management are included, while content is stored on the device for offline playback. Automatic panel discovery over SSDP can help identify panels on the local network.
Administration stays local rather than fleet-wide. The browser-based console is served directly by each device on port 8080, with admin access protected by a PIN and five-tap corner gesture. Kiosk lockdown hides system bars and restricts navigation, making UniKiosk a fit for dedicated Android signage and kiosk screens.
