Our verdict on uBugtrack

uBugtrack is a web-based issue and task tracking application for software teams managing tickets, crashes, projects, and releases. Its feature set includes real-time collaborative ticket editing, project activity statistics, project-level permissions, automatic release-note generation, crash reporting, and CSV ticket imports. The product suits developers and small teams that want a focused cloud service for connecting issue work with release activity, while its organization account and unlimited storage on the Entreprise plan also support larger deployments.

Pricing is structured around Free, Developer, and Entreprise plans. The Free plan is described as unlimited during beta and includes unlimited public projects, one private project, and 10 MB of storage on that private project. Developer costs $7 per month and adds a personal account, unlimited public and private projects, unlimited tickets, unlimited collaborators, and 1 GB of storage. Entreprise costs $4 per user per month and includes an organization account, unlimited public and private projects, unlimited tickets, unlimited collaborators, and unlimited storage. The paid plans are marked as coming soon, so teams should account for that availability status when evaluating the product.

uBugtrack’s strongest workflow connection is between issue resolution and release communication: fixed or closed tickets can generate release notes automatically. GitHub, Bitbucket, TFS, and Subversion integrations connect repository activity with project work, while Slack supports ticket and release notifications. Jira and Discord are also listed among its integrations, and the RESTful JSON API covers projects, tickets, and releases. Choose uBugtrack if low monthly pricing, collaborative tickets, release notes, and developer-oriented integrations are priorities. Teams seeking a broader planning system or a more extensive support model may prefer an alternative.
