Tyk Gateway is an open-source API gateway for teams that need to expose, secure, route, and govern APIs. It is suited to startups, API teams, regulated organizations, and enterprises serving internal users, partners, or external consumers. The gateway supports REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events. Its core feature set covers traffic routing and proxying, authentication and authorization, rate limiting, quotas, request and response transformation, API versioning, analytics, traffic logging, load balancing, OpenAPI support, and custom middleware or plugins.
