Our verdict on Trustate
Trustate is a web-based platform for attorneys and trust companies managing estate planning, trust funding, asset and liability discovery, probate, and trust administration. Its feature set covers estate planning and probate document generation, deed and beneficiary form preparation, estate workflows, task tracking, team collaboration, estate balance sheets, and accountings. It is particularly suited to estate and trust teams that need administration workflows alongside document automation, rather than a general-purpose legal form builder.
Pricing is organized by firm type and billing cycle. The Basic plan costs $189 per month with monthly billing or $169 per month with annual billing. Small firm costs $399 per month monthly or $379 per month annually, while Mid-Large Firm costs $529 per month monthly or $499 per month annually. These plans include probate documents, automated trust funding, automated T&E administration, deed preparation, asset and liability searches, and CLE courses. The Solo plan costs $125 per month and adds tailored estate workflows, an estate balance sheet, team collaboration, point-person assignment, calendar integration, and custom task creation. Trust Cos/Banks includes unlimited users, custom modules, a dedicated account concierge, and unlimited team trainings.
Trustate also fits teams working across an existing legal and productivity stack, with integrations including Clio, MyCase, Lawmatics, Actionstep, Airtable, Dropbox, Filevine, Formstack, and others. That ecosystem coverage supports firms that want estate workflows connected to practice management, CRM, automation, and file tools. However, the platform lacks verified questionnaires, conditional logic, signatures, and API access. Choose Trustate for focused estate, trust, and probate administration with collaboration and accounting features. Choose an alternative when intake logic, signing workflows, or programmatic integration are central requirements.
