Our verdict on TimeSolv

TimeSolv is cloud-based time tracking and billing software for law firms and other professional services businesses. It records billable hours and expenses by project, client, and matter, while supporting budgets, limits, approvals, invoicing, payment collection, reporting, and data export. Legal practices are the clearest fit, although consultants, accountants, freelancers, public-relations firms, and IT firms are also among its intended users. Web access is complemented by Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android applications.

Its strongest differentiator is the connection between time capture and legal financial workflows. Multiple concurrent timers support active matter work, while offline time entry can synchronize later. Multi-step timesheet approvals add review control before billing, and trust accounting addresses a requirement that general-purpose time trackers typically do not center. Integrations with Microsoft 365, Outlook, OneDrive, QuickBooks, Xero, 8am LawPay, AccountEdge, Dropbox, NetDocuments, LexShare/LexSign, and PointOne extend its fit across productivity, accounting, payments, and legal document environments.

TimeSolv is a paid product with a 10-day trial and monthly or annual subscription options. There is no free plan, so it is better suited to firms that need a continuing billing system than to individuals seeking a lightweight timer. Choose it when matter-level tracking, approval workflows, invoicing, payment collection, exports, and trust accounting belong in the same operating process. A simpler tracker may be a better choice for users who only need basic elapsed-time records without legal billing or accounting requirements.
