Our verdict on Thinfinity Remote Desktop
Thinfinity Remote Desktop, presented within Thinfinity Workspace, gives organizations browser-based access to Windows desktops, applications, VNC hosts, Linux desktops, and other enterprise resources. It is aimed at IT teams, managed service providers, ISVs, and enterprises that need remote access, application publishing, RemoteApp delivery, session monitoring, or hybrid and on-premises deployment options. Access is available through HTML5 browsers without endpoint plugins, alongside Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android support.
Its strongest case is breadth across access methods and control features. RDP and proprietary RDC connections sit alongside VNC and xrdp access, while RemoteApp delivers individual Windows applications instead of a full desktop. Session recording and playback, audit logging, session monitoring, file transfer, and drag-and-drop support extend the platform beyond basic screen sharing. Native mobile clients also give users another access route when browser access is not the preferred option.
Identity and administration are central to the product’s fit for structured IT environments. Role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, built-in TOTP support, and integrations with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, OneLogin, Google Workspace, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, RADIUS, and other systems support varied identity setups. Pricing is quote-based and there is no free plan, so Thinfinity Remote Desktop is better suited to organizations that need its access modes and governance features than to individuals seeking a simple, low-cost remote desktop tool.
