Our verdict on Tencent Exmail
Tencent Exmail provides custom-domain business email for organizations that need administrative oversight as well as everyday mail. Its Basic plan is free and includes 1 GB mailbox capacity, unlimited email accounts, mail backup and archiving, open interfaces, and mail approval and recall. Professional adds unlimited mailbox capacity for VIP accounts, a 32 GB personal transfer station, and advanced administrative features. The product is available on web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with an API platform. It is a fit for teams that value centralized mail controls and can work within the product’s account structure; organizations seeking explicitly documented shared mailboxes should compare alternatives.
Administration is a notable strength. Exmail supports hierarchical administrator roles, automatic mailbox backup rules, archive search, mail approval workflows, and migration from legacy systems. IP-based login restrictions and controls on sending to external mail provide further policy options. Corporate directories and group mailing support organizational communication, while open APIs cover directory, single sign-on, notifications, settings, and logs. The service also integrates with WeCom, Foxmail, QQ Mail, WeChat, online documents, and calendar, which may suit organizations already working in Tencent’s collaboration ecosystem. Buyers should weigh that ecosystem fit against their own client and workflow requirements.
The published plan information distinguishes a free Basic tier from paid Professional capabilities. Tencent’s site advertises Professional from CNY 950 per year and an account unit price of CNY 190; the minimum paid purchase appears to be five users. This makes the entry cost less straightforward to compare with per-mailbox offers, and the exact storage and alias allowance for the cheapest paid plan is not established here. Choose Exmail when archiving, approvals, migration, and granular administration matter alongside custom-domain email. Consider another service if predictable per-mailbox pricing or explicitly named shared mailboxes are central requirements.
