Our verdict on Stage

Stage is an AI-powered code review platform for teams using GitHub. It reorganizes pull requests into structured chapters so reviewers can inspect important changes first, while providing AI-generated summaries, pull-request risk assessments, and Stagent chat for review questions. A local CLI can organize code changes into chapters and open them in a browser interface. Stage is suited to GitHub teams handling complex reviews that need more structure than a conventional pull-request view.

The published plans show a free Starter plan with unlimited public repositories, a reviewer dashboard, AI review summaries and chapters, pull-request risk assessments, and Stagent chat. Team costs $30 per user per month when billed monthly and adds unlimited private repositories, GitHub organization sync, team-wide review settings, and a dedicated Slack channel. Enterprise adds SAML SSO, role-based access controls, audit logs, security review, invoice billing, and dedicated onboarding. This makes the plan structure easy to separate by repository privacy, team administration, and enterprise controls.
