SilkStart is cloud-based membership and association management software for associations, nonprofits, and other member-based organizations. It brings together centralized member records, membership plans, renewals, automated billing, online payments, invoicing, websites, events, directories, email campaigns, job boards, donation campaigns, and multi-chapter management. Organizations can use its website CMS or connect its applications to an existing website, with member-restricted areas, custom data collection, and recurring or one-time billing supported.
Pricing is structured around organization size and operating model. The Standard plan costs $241 per month when billed annually or $252 per month when billed monthly, with support for up to 500 active members. Multi-Chapter costs $728 per month annually or $767 per month monthly, supporting up to 10 chapters. Enterprise/Custom is available as a custom plan. A 15-day trial is available, and the service has no free plan. The published pricing notes also include a setup fee alongside recurring fees, while the credit card is not required to trial the service.
Its ecosystem covers website, marketing, analytics, payments, and accounting needs through integrations with WordPress, Squarespace, Ecwid, Mailchimp, Facebook, Google Analytics, Olark, Contactology, KISSmetrics, Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Bambora, and QuickBooks. That breadth suits organizations looking to consolidate member operations, communications, events, donations, and web content in one system. SilkStart is a strong fit for associations that need multi-chapter administration and a wide feature set; organizations seeking a free option, a non-web deployment, or a narrower membership tool should look elsewhere.
