The app is a fit for Mac creators who want editing controls and presentation touches in the recording workflow, rather than a recorder limited to basic capture. It requires macOS 14 or later and is aimed at solo and small teams.
The standout feature is the combination of separate tracks and editing tools. ShipClip supports fullscreen, window, area, and mobile-device capture; its editor can trim, split, and arrange tracks. It also automatically generates editable zoom-to-click ranges, offers camera picture-in-picture with real-time background removal, and adds arrows, rectangles, text, blur, and customizable keystroke styling and sound effects.
