Shape is a Windows desktop development environment for designers and programmers who want coding, visual design, Git workflows, and AI assistance in one application. Its Monaco-based editor includes syntax highlighting, formatting, and IntelliSense, while the AI workspace offers Ask, Code, Plan, Visual, and Review modes. The agent can search repository files, read and edit source code, run terminal commands, and execute checks in supported modes. Visual inspection and editing of live web-page previews adds a design-oriented layer for teams working across code and interfaces.

The pricing structure starts with a Free plan that includes the local-first desktop editor, an Auto model, and a monthly token pool for Auto. Plus costs $15 per month and adds 450 credits per month, all models unlocked, commercial usage, and dashboard usage tracking.
