Our verdict on Sekoia
Sekoia brings care planning and day-to-day care management into a shared system for social care providers, including care homes, services for people with disabilities and elderly care services. Staff can coordinate care tasks, record assessments and daily observations, maintain clinical and nursing records, and access resident-specific instructions. Browser access and iOS and Android apps support use across computers, phones and tablets. Its scope also reaches residents and families through a resident-facing app and family portal. Care homes that want digital records alongside resident and family access are the clearest fit; providers seeking only a narrow task scheduler may not need this breadth.
The standout is the connection between care delivery and documentation. Staff can coordinate, complete, move or cancel care tasks, then record notes as care is delivered. Plans and activities sit alongside assessments, observations and clinical records, while dashboards, reporting, audits and compliance workflows support oversight. Instructions can include images, video and documents. The resident-facing app includes activities, notes, a calendar and messaging, and families have a separate portal. That combination is relevant where residents, relatives and staff need different ways to access information; the product is less suited to organizations that do not need resident or family-facing features.
According to the vendor’s pricing page, the Per Resident Fee is £10 per resident per month and includes unlimited support, access to and training in new features, e-learning, a help centre and a dedicated customer success manager. Implementation is a separate £500 fee, covering a bespoke plan, best-practice templates, role-based training and 24-hour Go-Live onboarding. Larger groups can request a Group License with bespoke roll-out and group templates, plus support for multiple service types; its price is negotiated. Published fees are in GBP and subject to VAT. Support channels include email, chat and phone, alongside documentation. The published pricing is clearest for smaller providers, while groups should weigh the additional implementation charge and negotiated license against their needs.
