The service is particularly suited to large enterprises that need managed analytical breadth across SAP applications, other cloud environments, and on-premises connections.
Pricing is usage-based through Capacity Units, with SAP directing prospective customers to configure pricing or request a demo. A 30-day free trial is available, while the product does not offer a free plan. Paid deployments add the managed service capabilities needed for production data platforms, including SAP HANA Cloud Central administration and monitoring, automated software updates, backup, point-in-time recovery, and high-availability synchronous replication with active/active read-enabled replicas. Capacity configuration affects items such as backup retention and maximum connections.
