Our verdict on Sam
Sam brings personal planning into a dashboard and chat, combining project and to-do tracking with calendar, email, reminders, goals, and habits. It is aimed at people who want one place to organize personal work rather than a tool focused only on tasks or scheduling. Meal plans and grocery lists extend that scope, while the Family Sam plan adds shared household tasks and calendars. The current download page offers Mac releases, so Sam is most suitable for Mac users managing personal projects, email, and routines; it is a weaker fit for people who need a currently available Windows or mobile app.
Its breadth is the main distinction. Sam can show events across calendars and find scheduling times, handle email by reading, summarizing, deleting, replying, and organizing messages, and support recurring reminders and follow-ups. Users can also track long-term goals and daily habits. The listed integrations are OpenAI, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Apple Mail. These connections make Sam relevant to people whose routines span planning and communications, though buyers seeking a narrowly focused task list may not need its wider set of personal features.
The Free plan covers email, tasks, reminders, goals, habits, wellness, and one calendar integration, but fully connected AI features require a paid AI subscription. Super Sam adds 500 AI queries per month or an external API connection, unlimited calendar integrations, meals, travel, health, voice control, and priority support. Family Sam is oriented toward households, with shared tasks and calendars, pooled AI queries, kids mode with permissions, and dedicated support. Choose Sam if its Mac availability and broad personal-organizing scope match your workflow; look elsewhere if mobile or Windows access is essential today.
