Salesforce Education Cloud is a cloud CRM for educational institutions managing recruitment, admissions, academic operations, student success, student financials, and advancement. It is designed for teams that need one system for applicant interactions, application review, recruiter workflows, onboarding, marketing, analytics, and AI-assisted recruitment. Applicant portals support information requests, applications, document uploads, and appointments, while dynamic forms and reusable components support application processes. Recruitment and admissions consoles bring together applications, tasks, appointments, prospects, and requests for information.

Pricing is organized into four paid editions, all billed annually per user per month. Enterprise Edition costs $87 and includes learner-lifecycle apps, faculty and staff features across departments, and education objects, logic, and automation. Unlimited Edition costs $145 and adds Premier Success customer support, Salesforce Inbox, and other features. Agentforce 1 for Sales Edition and Agentforce 1 for Service Edition each cost $375; both include Unlimited features plus Agentforce, Tableau Next, Slack, and Data Cloud. The Sales edition also includes Salesforce Maps and Sales Planning, while the Service edition adds Service Cloud Voice and Digital Engagement. A 30-day trial is available, and nonprofit pricing is shown; for-profit organizations require a separate pricing guide and sales contact.

The product’s main strength is breadth. It combines admissions workflows, marketing across web, email, SMS, and social touchpoints, automated onboarding journeys, personalized care plans, Omnistudio workflow automation, dashboards, predictive insights, and analytics. The higher editions extend that scope into sales, service, collaboration, and data tools. This makes Education Cloud a strong fit for institutions that want enterprise automation and AI across multiple departments. It may be less suitable for smaller teams seeking a narrowly focused admissions system, a lower per-user entry cost, or non-web access. Teams should also compare the edition-specific features against their operational priorities before choosing a tier.
