Our verdict on Salad Dedicated
Salad Dedicated provides reserved, single-tenant bare-metal servers and virtual machines for AI inference, large-model serving, fine-tuning, training, and other workloads that cannot tolerate interruption. It is aimed at teams that need predictable GPU capacity rather than a conventional fixed-specification dedicated-server plan. The service currently centers on NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs with 96 GB of ECC GDDR7 memory, and customers receive full root access with the option to supply their own operating system images and tooling.
The pricing model is contract-based and priced by quote according to GPU count, term, and form factor. The published contract includes reserved RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell servers or virtual machines, with bare-metal and per-GPU VM deployment available. Monitoring, a named engineering contact, and hardware replacement are included. This structure suits organizations planning sustained workloads and capacity requirements, but it is less suitable for buyers seeking a fixed monthly plan, self-serve checkout, or a free tier.
Salad Dedicated offers a choice between customer-controlled infrastructure and managed orchestration. Teams can operate machines with their own images and tools, or use optional Salad Container Engine orchestration to run them as Salad-managed nodes. Single-tenant hardware, burst capacity to Salad Community Cloud, and non-preemptible allocation support workloads where interruption is costly. Choose it for reserved GPU infrastructure and operational support around sustained AI workloads; consider an alternative if your priority is broad general-purpose server configuration, simple public pricing, or hardware beyond its current RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell focus.
