Our verdict on Ridgeon Network SFTP Hosting
Ridgeon Network SFTP Hosting provides businesses with hosted file transfer for exchanging data with clients, suppliers and staff. It supports manual and automated transfers through SFTP, FTPS, FTP and secure browser-based uploads and downloads. User and folder permissions help control access, while unlimited user accounts suit teams that need to share accounts across departments or external partners. The service is aimed at small, mid-market and enterprise organizations, with UK-based data centres and a 14-day trial.
The monthly plans scale storage while keeping unlimited monthly transfers, user accounts and file size. Starter costs £52 per month for 25 GB; Standard is £70 for 50 GB; Pro is £110 for 100 GB. Enterprise uses a custom quote and includes more than 500 GB of storage. Optional daily backups are available, and the Reporting and Monitoring System provides activity reports, audit trails and email notifications. The price progression makes storage needs the clearest distinction between the named tiers; teams should compare that allowance with the files they expect to retain.
Security and access controls are a central part of the offer: key-based authentication, MFA/2FA for administration and user access, and user and folder permissions accompany the transfer protocols. The vendor lists ISO 27001, GDPR and PCI DSS, and provides support by email, phone and ticket. These features make the service a fit for organizations that want hosted transfers with multiple protocols and account-level controls. Teams looking for a lower-cost entry point, or for a service with listed integrations, may want to compare alternatives before choosing it.
