Our verdict on Radmin

Radmin is desktop remote-access software for IT professionals, internal support teams, and system administrators. It separates the Server component, installed on the computer being accessed, from the Viewer component, used on the local computer. The product supports remote desktop control, unattended access, encrypted connections, file transfer, text and voice chat, multiple simultaneous connections, multi-monitor support, remote shutdown, and Intel AMT. It is suited to Windows teams managing or supporting remote computers through a locally installed desktop product.

Pricing is built around one-time licensing rather than recurring billing. The Radmin 3 Standard license costs $49 per remote computer and includes control of one remote computer, a perpetual license, and the free Radmin Viewer. The 50-license package costs $1,490 and supports up to 50 remote computers, while the 100-license package costs $2,490 and supports up to 100. A 150-license package and a Volume license for organizations equipping 200 or more PCs are also available. A 30-day fully functional trial provides a way to assess the product before purchase.

The product fits environments that want Windows administration features such as Active Directory, Windows Security, Kerberos, Intel AMT, and mass deployment tools. Linux is supported via Wine, so its platform scope is narrower than a tool designed for broad native coverage. Radmin also does not provide mobile apps or session recording. Choose it when perpetual licensing, unattended Windows access, encryption, and administrative controls matter most. Teams needing mobile access, recording, or wider platform coverage should choose an alternative instead.
