Our verdict on Radar

Radar Engage is a location-marketing product for marketing and product teams with customer apps. It uses location signals to trigger push notifications and in-app messages, and lets teams create audiences from location history, visits, and time spent at places. Its focus is specific: campaigns tied to where customers go, rather than a general-purpose location platform.

For campaign execution, Radar supports geofences in polygon, circle, and isochrone shapes, plus place-visit detection using a global points-of-interest dataset. Segments can include visits to a business’s own or competitor locations. Campaign analytics cover sent and opened notifications and attributed conversions, while foot-traffic attribution connects location-triggered activity to visits. Teams can deliver messages through Radar or share location events and audiences with Braze and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The product is available across iOS, Android, web, and API, with location data sources including GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and IP.

According to the vendor’s pricing page, Engage starts at $0.02 per monthly tracked user, with annual agreements and usage-based quotes; that starting rate is not a complete contract price. The published plan highlights location-based audiences and messaging, and there is no free plan. Radar lists SOC 2 and GDPR compliance and documentation as its support channel. It is a fit for teams that can act on customer-app location signals and want geofencing, audience building, and campaign measurement together. Teams seeking a broader location platform or integrations beyond the named marketing platforms may prefer another option.
