Our verdict on PushFTP

PushFTP provides hosted SFTP and FTP accounts with cloud storage, plus S3 connectivity and a file API. It is aimed at solo operators and small teams that need to automate file intake or delivery to their own servers or S3-compatible storage. The API covers upload, download, read, write, append, list and delete operations; watched folders can trigger webhooks when new files arrive, and email-to-server delivery can route messages and attachments. This makes the product a fit when file movement is part of a workflow, rather than just a need for a standalone transfer endpoint.

Automation is a central strength. PushFTP connects with Zapier, Make and n8n, and HTTP clients can use the API. The service also offers activity logging with failure alerts, fixed EU IP transfers, AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Plans include automatic deletion or retention controls. Buyers should consider whether these capabilities match their operational and compliance requirements: the listed compliance posture is GDPR, and documentation is the stated support channel except for priority support on Business. Teams with broader support or compliance needs should compare alternatives before committing.

The published monthly plans start with Free at €0, for one hosted SFTP/FTP account, 500 MB, one connection and 75 transfers per month. Starter costs €9 and raises this to five accounts, 25 GB, three connections and unlimited transfers. Pro is €29 for 20 accounts, 100 GB, five connections and 30-day logs. Business costs €59 for 100 accounts, 500 GB, ten connections and priority support. All plans include auto-delete or retention. PushFTP suits budget-conscious teams needing API-driven file workflows; those needing more support breadth or different compliance coverage should look elsewhere.
