PryntControl is print management software for schools, universities, academies, libraries and other education-focused environments. It centralizes printer access, secure release, quotas, pricing rules, cost tracking, scanning and reporting for students, teachers, administrators and shared facilities. The product supports web, Windows, macOS and Linux, with hybrid deployment and mobile printing capabilities. Its focus suits organizations that need to control usage across classrooms, departments and mixed printer fleets rather than manage a single small office.
Its strongest area is policy and accountability. Administrators can set user, group, classroom and department quotas, then apply pricing rules to color, monochrome, simplex and duplex jobs. Reports cover print, copy and scan usage and costs, while detailed job records provide filters and traceability. Secure release uses user authentication, PINs or cards. Browser-based Webprynt printing avoids drivers, and user synchronization can draw from Active Directory, LDAP, Azure Entra ID or Excel. Integrated scanning sends work to the user portal.
PryntControl also fits organizations with varied hardware and distributed workflows. Integrations include Konica Minolta, Kyocera, HP, Epson, Brother, FUJIFILM and Olivetti. Cloud printing supports work from outside the center network, and cloud services can extend the setup with remote printing, cloud scanning, balance top-ups and card personalization. The operational foundation remains an on-premise server, so it is better suited to education teams prepared to manage a hybrid environment than to buyers seeking a fully cloud-only service. The published pricing model is contact sales, with commercial information requested through dealers or partners.
