Our verdict on PowerFolder
PowerFolder is a file sync-and-share platform for individuals, teams, schools and enterprises that need folders available across desktop, mobile and web clients. Its defining fit is deployment flexibility: organizations can use a hosted German cloud, a hybrid architecture or an on-premise server. Selective synchronization, sharing, backup and configurable file version history cover common file-management needs, while platform availability spans Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and web.
The plans serve distinct deployment and team needs. Kostenlos 5 GB is free for one user, with 5 GB storage, up to three folders, web access and mobile apps. Business 1 TB costs €12.50 per user per month with annual billing and adds 1 TB per user, unlimited folders and shares, browser-based Office editing and access on all devices. Team Cloud 6 TB costs €69.90 per month for up to six users, with central user and access management and unlimited team folders and shares. Community Edition is free and self-hosted, supporting up to 50 users with storage subject to hardware. Enterprise Edition is self-hosted and costs €4 per user per month for licensing from 51 users; it adds unlimited users, high-availability clustering, multi-tenancy and federation. A 30-day free trial is available.
