Our verdict on Passwork
Passwork is a business password and secrets manager for organizations that need centralized credential management across browsers, desktops, mobile devices, and internal infrastructure. It is available as Passwork Cloud or a self-hosted deployment, with vaults and folders for organizing credentials, password generation, browser autofill, secure sharing, role-based access, audit logs, and passwordless authentication. Its intended audience is teams that need administrative control over shared credentials rather than an individual-focused password vault.
Pricing is structured around two recurring plans. Standard costs €3 per user per month when billed annually and includes core password-management features, shared vaults, and low administrative overhead. Advanced costs €4.5 per user per month when billed annually and adds SSO, LDAP group mapping, a role-based model, clustering, failover support, backups, and priority technical support. A Lifetime offer uses a one-time payment and includes lifetime updates and priority support, with a personalized quote. The published plans show paid access rather than a free plan, so Passwork is a better fit for organizations budgeting for managed credential infrastructure.
Its platform and ecosystem coverage is broad: web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, browser extensions, API access, and self-hosting are all supported. Integrations include LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, SAML 2.0, Azure AD, Keycloak, and Syslog/SIEM. Client-side and server-side encryption, centralized user management, activity monitoring, and automation through the API support controlled deployments. Choose Passwork if self-hosting, directory integration, sharing controls, or passwordless access are priorities. Organizations seeking a free plan or avoiding annual billing should consider a different password manager.
