Our verdict on OTTO
OTTO brings the German retailer and marketplace to Android, with browsing across fashion, home and technology, in-app checkout, wishlists and order services. It suits shoppers who already browse OTTO and want saved-product price alerts, delivery updates and optional loyalty benefits in the same app. Orders may come from OTTO or marketplace sellers, so delivery terms can vary by seller and item.
The shopping tools cover the core journey: save products to a wishlist, receive alerts when saved products go on offer, then follow shipment tracking and delivery management through the customer account. Push notifications provide delivery status updates, and eligible parcel orders can be delivered to Hermes PaketShops. The app also supports OTTO UP loyalty points and redemption for eligible purchases. Delivery choices are not universal; the available terms depend on the seller and item, and the listed options do not include store pickup or same-day delivery.
OTTO UP Basic is free and includes bonus points on eligible purchases, plus free standard parcel delivery from a €59.95 order value for OTTO-sold items. OTTO UP Plus costs €9.90 one time for 12 months, adds a parcel-shipping flat for eligible OTTO-sold items and bonus and level points, and automatically ends after the term. That makes Plus most relevant to shoppers whose orders fit those shipping conditions; it is not a monthly subscription. Choose OTTO for its marketplace browsing, alerts and order tracking, but compare seller-specific delivery terms if pickup or same-day service is important.
