Otter.ai is an AI meeting assistant for individuals and teams that need meeting capture, transcription, searchable notes, and follow-up support. It can join Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams meetings, identify speakers, produce summaries with action items and outlines, and answer questions across meetings with AI chat. Recording is also available through web, desktop, mobile, or Chrome, while audio and video files can be imported for transcription.

The free Basic plan is available forever and includes live transcription, speaker identification, 300 monthly transcription minutes, and support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. A 7-day free trial is also available. Pro costs $8.33 per user per month with annual billing and adds 1,200 transcription minutes per user, meetings up to 90 minutes, advanced search, export and playback, unlimited storage, and Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zapier integrations. Business costs $19.99 per user per month with annual billing and adds unlimited meetings and in-app recordings, 6,000 imported-file transcription minutes per user, meetings up to four hours, enhanced administration, and the ability to join three concurrent meetings.

Otter’s breadth is its main strength: calendar connections can automate capture, while integrations with Slack, Dropbox, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zapier extend how meeting information moves into existing workflows. Meeting templates and channels help organize and share conversations, and bot-based capture is complemented by bot-free desktop recording. The trade-off is that its verified language coverage is six languages, and the paid tiers still use meeting or transcription limits depending on the plan. Otter suits individuals and teams that want a broad, low-cost workflow across common meeting platforms; buyers needing wider language coverage or different limits should compare alternatives.
