Oracle Cloud Migrations is an OCI-managed service for organizations moving virtual machine workloads from VMware and Amazon Web Services into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It covers external asset discovery, migration projects, migration plans, replication, target configuration recommendations, cost estimates, and deployment through Oracle Resource Manager. Access is available through the OCI Console, REST API, and CLI, making it suitable for teams that want both a guided cloud interface and programmatic control.
The service is free, with the Oracle Cloud Migration Service plan priced at $0 and no additional cost for the migration service. That covers the migration workflow itself, including scheduled or manual replication and incremental replication over HTTPS. Oracle separately charges for OCI resources consumed during migration and after deployment, so the service price does not represent the full cost of running the migrated workloads. The published plan is therefore a strong fit for organizations seeking a migration tool without a separate service fee, provided they budget for destination infrastructure.
