Our verdict on Opus

Opus brings digital training, resources, messages, and in-person coaching together for hospitality and other frontline businesses. Its role- and location-based assignments suit multi-location operators that need consistent training across teams, while mobile and desktop access serves staff and managers in different settings. Course authoring supports interactive quizzes and media; learners can also complete assessments and skill check-ins. Completion tracking and reporting give operators a way to monitor training progress, including compliance activity and recertification.

The plan structure moves from operational learning tools to a fuller LMS and then enterprise controls. Core includes operating standards, a resource library, AI search, multilingual support, basic reporting, and a dedicated success manager. Growth adds unlimited training modules, digital and in-person assessments, an AI-powered course builder, advanced reporting, HRIS integration, and wage and hour compliance. Enterprise adds third-party integrations, advanced automations and permissions, joint employer compliance features, SOC 2 and GDPR compliance, a managed pilot option, and dedicated implementation and change management. Opus says pricing is typically per location, and its plans include unlimited trainees; amounts are not published. The employee-facing app is free to access, which is distinct from a free software plan.

Integration coverage is a key fit for operators connecting learning to workforce and restaurant systems. Named integrations include ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, Workday, Paycor, Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, Crunchtime, Qu POS, 7shifts, and HotSchedules. Automatic translation into more than 100 languages, SCORM import, and compliance tracking further support varied teams and existing course libraries. Buyers should consider alternatives if they need published pricing or a free software plan; Opus is better suited to mid-market and enterprise hospitality teams that value integrations, role-based training, and managed implementation.
