Our verdict on OneColo Proxmox Private Cloud
OneColo Proxmox Private Cloud provides dedicated, fully managed virtualized infrastructure for AI workloads, general computing, and enterprise applications. It runs Proxmox on dedicated bare-metal clusters, combining KVM virtualization, LXC containers, and Ceph-backed storage. OneColo manages the hardware, hypervisors, backups, monitoring, and security, while customers retain administrative access through the Proxmox web interface or API. The service is aimed at organizations that want private-cloud control without managing the underlying infrastructure themselves.
The offering is presented as a single Managed Private Cloud plan, with contact-sales pricing rather than a published numeric rate. The plan includes a dedicated bare-metal cluster, Proxmox virtualization, Ceph-backed storage, and management of hardware, hypervisors, backups, and monitoring. The private-cloud calculator shows configurations involving at least 3 nodes, 64 GB RAM per node, 5 TB raw storage per node, and 1 month of daily-snapshot retention. These configuration figures describe the calculator experience and are not presented here as contractual plan limits. Buyers should work with OneColo to scope the required environment and monthly cost.
Ceph triple-replicated storage is the service’s clearest technical focus. Live migration, high availability, VM and container snapshots, scheduled backups, real-time usage monitoring, and cluster expansion without downtime support ongoing operations. Proxmox GUI and API access also give administrators direct control over their virtualized environment. OneColo is a strong fit for teams seeking managed private infrastructure with Proxmox administration and Ceph storage. Organizations that need a different hosting location, a self-managed environment, or transparent public pricing should consider alternatives.
