Our verdict on AlphaVPS Proxmox Cloud
AlphaVPS Proxmox Cloud provides fully managed private cloud clusters based on Proxmox VE. It is designed for businesses and enterprise teams that want high-availability virtualization without managing the underlying hardware, hypervisor, storage, or maintenance operations. AlphaVPS handles hardware provisioning, cluster configuration, Proxmox updates, storage management, continuous infrastructure monitoring, and Proxmox Backup Server backups. Customers retain administration of virtual machines and containers through the Proxmox web console and REST API.
The cluster plans scale by infrastructure design rather than by a simple feature checklist. Starter cluster includes a three-node minimum HA cluster, Ceph shared storage, and a 10G network. Growth cluster adds seven or more nodes, a separate storage network, and production-grade fault tolerance. Enterprise cluster supports 12 or more nodes, custom fault domains, GPU nodes, and mixed workloads. Storage can be configured across Ceph, ZFS, and LVM-Thin, while private VLANs and software-defined networking support more tailored network layouts.
Operations coverage is the clearest reason to consider the service. Live migration supports movement between nodes, backups are handled through Proxmox Backup Server, and 24/7 infrastructure monitoring is included. Web-based VNC and SPICE access gives teams console options alongside API access. The service also supports bringing your own IP prefixes and ASN through BGP, which suits organizations with specific network requirements. Pricing is quote-based with flat monthly plans, so teams should choose AlphaVPS when they want managed Proxmox infrastructure and enterprise-oriented cluster options. It is less suitable for small deployments or buyers who need a simple, self-managed single-node setup.
