Our verdict on noxtec Managed Proxmox Hosting
noxtec Managed Proxmox Hosting provides dedicated three-node Proxmox VE clusters for businesses, IT departments, managed service providers, agencies, and DevOps teams. Each cluster supports KVM virtual machines and LXC containers through Proxmox’s central web interface. The service combines dedicated enterprise hardware with Ceph shared storage, three-node high availability, live migration, automatic VM failover, DDoS protection, and migration planning and support. Hosting is based in Frankfurt, Germany, and console access is available.
Pricing is structured around three monthly cluster plans. Starter Cluster costs €999 per month and includes three Dell PowerEdge R640 nodes, 128 GB DDR4 ECC per node, six 1.92 TB Enterprise NVMe drives in total, and approximately 3.8 TB of Ceph storage. Production Cluster costs €1,690 per month and moves to three Dell PowerEdge R6515 nodes with six KIOXIA CD8-V NVMe drives and approximately 3.2 TB of Ceph storage. Pro Cluster costs €2,490 per month and includes three Lenovo ThinkSystem SR645 V3 nodes, 128 GB DDR5 ECC per node, six KIOXIA CD8-V NVMe drives, and approximately 3.2 TB of Ceph storage. Prices exclude VAT.
The main strength is the combination of managed infrastructure and Proxmox capabilities that matter for clustered workloads: shared Ceph storage, live migration, and automatic failover. noxtec also coordinates setup and migration planning, which suits teams moving existing workloads into a three-node environment. The trade-off is commitment to a dedicated cluster rather than a single-server instance, with an entry price that may be too high for smaller deployments. Choose it when high availability, migration assistance, and managed operation are priorities; consider another option when a lower-cost or less structured hosting footprint is the better fit.
