Our verdict on Noted

Noted is an audio-focused note-taking app for students, professionals, meetings, lectures, and interviews. It combines rich-text notes with time-stamped audio recordings, audio and video transcription, searchable transcripts, playback controls, dictation, and note sharing. AI features add summaries and questions about recordings, while speaker identification helps organize conversations. The app is designed for people who want notes tied directly to recorded material rather than a general-purpose writing workspace.

Its strongest fit is Apple-centered work. Noted supports iOS and macOS, with iCloud synchronization across supported devices and offline note creation and editing. Notes can be exported as PDF or TXT files, audio as M4A, and complete notes can be shared through web links. iCloud is the listed integration, so the product makes the most sense for users already working within Apple's device and synchronization ecosystem. Buyers who need broader platform coverage or a wider integration catalog should look elsewhere.

The paid structure offers a Monthly Subscription and a Yearly Subscription, both with access to all Noted+ features. The Yearly Subscription includes a 7-day free trial, while the Monthly Subscription does not include that trial. Noted+ Lifetime provides permanent access to Noted+ features. The listed starting price is 9.99, and pricing may vary by region. There is no free plan. Choose Noted for recording-led workflows where transcription, AI summaries, searchable playback, and offline Apple-device access matter; choose an alternative if free access, non-Apple platforms, or broader integrations are priorities.
