Our verdict on Nordstrom
Nordstrom’s Android app brings the retailer’s clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, gifts and home categories into a single shopping experience. It is aimed at shoppers who already want to buy from Nordstrom and value saved-item alerts, order tracking or Nordy Club rewards. The app is free, as is Nordy Club membership, and the product is also available on the web. Its retailer-specific focus makes it useful for following Nordstrom products, but it is not a general marketplace for comparing other retailers.
Wish lists and saved brands support ongoing shopping rather than only one-off purchases. Nordstrom can alert shoppers when a saved item returns to stock or goes on sale, and saved brands can inform recommendations and new-arrival alerts. Brand filters help narrow searches. The app also supports order and purchase-history tracking, while a Nordstrom card can be used to pay in stores with a QR code.
