Our verdict on New Innovations

New Innovations is a residency management suite for graduate medical education providers, hospitals, and health systems. It brings rotation and yearly academic schedules together with call, clinic, shift, and daily assignment scheduling. Programs can also manage resident and faculty evaluations, work-hour reporting, ACGME case logging, procedure tracking, onboarding, credentialing, reimbursement reporting, and accreditation workflows. Mobile app and mobile-web access extend the system to residents, fellows, and medical students, while configurable scheduling guidelines support program-specific requirements.

Its main strength is breadth. The suite covers operational scheduling alongside administrative and educational workflows, including APE and CCC milestone processes, IRIS reporting, billing, and reimbursement administration. Integrations include ADP, AMION, Banner, Oracle, PeopleSoft, payroll systems, HR systems, timekeeping systems, and API feeds. That combination suits organizations seeking one system for scheduling, resident records, compliance tracking, and reporting rather than a narrowly focused call scheduler. Support channels include email, phone, and documentation, and the product includes SOC 2 and SSO/SAML capabilities.

New Innovations is most appropriate for GME programs that need configurable scheduling plus connected administrative depth across hospitals or health systems. The published product details show cloud, desktop, and mobile deployment, with web access and mobile options available. Pricing is handled through contact with sales, so organizations should evaluate the commercial fit through a vendor conversation. Programs that only need basic rotation or call scheduling may find the wider workflow set unnecessary, while those managing work-hour compliance, credentialing, case logs, evaluations, and accreditation processes have a stronger reason to consider it. New Innovations is presented as a QGenda solution following QGenda’s July 2025 acquisition.
