Our verdict on MyFax
MyFax is a cloud-based internet fax service for businesses and professionals that want to send and receive faxes without fax machines, dedicated phone lines, or installed software. It supports email attachments, a web portal, and official iOS and Android apps. Plans include local, toll-free, or international fax numbers, inbound and outbound page allowances, online storage, usage reports, custom cover pages, and shared fax access for up to five email addresses. It suits small offices that prefer familiar email and mobile workflows.
The published monthly plans are Home Office User at $12 for 100 sent and 100 received pages, Small Business User at $25 for 300 sent and 300 received pages, and Power User at $45 for 600 sent and 600 received pages. A 14-day trial provides an opportunity to assess the service before subscribing. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive integrations extend the email and file-sharing workflow, while multiple recipients and contact management support recurring business communication.
MyFax’s feature set is broad for routine fax operations: users can search and tag archived faxes, review usage reports, create custom cover pages, and share one fax number across multiple email addresses. The tradeoff is that every listed plan has a monthly sending and receiving allowance, and the service has no free plan. The vendor’s FAQ directs customers seeking HIPAA-compliant cloud faxing to eFax Corporate, so organizations with that requirement should consider an alternative. MyFax is a sensible fit for small offices and professionals prioritizing email-based faxing, mobile access, and international number options; it is less suitable for teams needing compliance-focused cloud faxing or unlimited usage.
