MemberMatters is a self-hosted, open-source membership, billing, and access-control portal for makerspaces and community groups. It supports member registration, login, profiles, recurring credit-card payments through Stripe, self-service subscription cancellation, and card updates. The product also covers access permissions, swipe-card control, audit logs, kiosk sign-in and sign-out, notifications, administrative tools, and Memberbucks on-site and portal payments. Web-browser access is available, with Linux support through its documented hosting model and optional access-control hardware integrations.
Its strongest fit is for facilities where membership billing and physical access belong in the same system.
