Our verdict on manitu vServer
manitu vServer provides Linux virtual private servers running on KVM virtualization in manitu’s German data center in St. Wendel, Saarland. It is aimed at solo users, small businesses and mid-market teams that want direct control over a server rather than managed administration. Every plan includes dedicated virtual CPU, RAM and SSD capacity, full root access, IPv4 and IPv6, a 1 Gbit/s connection with free traffic, snapshots, VNC and a rescue system. Customers select a Linux distribution and manage the server through a web-based customer menu.
The published plans scale in predictable steps. vServer M costs €4.99 per month for 2 vCPU cores, 4 GB RAM and 60 GB SSD. vServer L is €9.99 per month with 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB RAM and 120 GB SSD. vServer XL costs €14.99 per month and provides 6 vCPU cores, 12 GB RAM and 240 GB SSD, while vServer XXL costs €19.99 per month with 8 vCPU cores, 16 GB RAM and 480 GB SSD. All four plans retain KVM, full root access, 1 Gbit/s connectivity and free traffic. Prices are listed monthly, with a three-month minimum term and prepayment every three months.
