Our verdict on Kiosk Browser

Kiosk Browser is an Android application for locking devices to websites or a controlled browser experience. It is aimed at personal and commercial kiosk deployments, including single-site installations and managed fleets. Its browser controls cover single-URL lockdown, URL allow and deny lists, Chromium-based browsing, and clearing for cache, cookies, forms, and WebStorage. Screensavers can display images, video, or websites, while JavaScript controls and session clearing support more controlled kiosk experiences.

Pricing separates the device licence from centralized management. The Kiosk Browser single-device licence costs $10.60 one time per device, with free upgrades for the lifetime of the product. The published plans show Unified Remote Management at $1.60 per device per month for 1–199 devices, $1.45 for 200–499, $1.25 for 500–999, and $1 for 1000 or more devices. An annual remote-management subscription offers a 15% discount versus monthly billing. The app includes a five-day unrestricted trial, while Unified Remote Management has a separate 14-day trial with no payment details required.

The strongest fit is an Android fleet that needs both device lockdown and operational control. Bulk JSON configuration and QR, NFC, and ADB provisioning can support deployment, while the web console adds remote configuration, updates, alerts, app management, files, and remote wipe. REST API, JavaScript, NFC reader, barcode scanner, and hardware barcode scanner integrations broaden its connection options. Choose Kiosk Browser when Android browser control and fleet actions are priorities; choose an alternative when the requirement extends beyond Android or does not justify a separate remote-management subscription.
