Our verdict on Kardhaus
Kardhaus is an iPhone app for scanning business cards and organizing the resulting contacts, aimed at individuals who want a private personal contact database. It recognizes card text on-device and works offline without an account or Kardhaus server. It can capture both sides of a bilingual card as one contact, then add tags and notes, search records, and export contacts as vCard or CSV. That makes it a fit for solo users who prefer a phone-based workflow over a CRM-centered one.
The free tier includes unlimited card scanning and storage, plus manual entry, import, search, tags and export. It also includes 50 AI recognitions. According to the published plans, Pro costs $5.99 as a one-time purchase and removes the AI-recognition limit; it also adds batch scanning, natural-language search, a card map, relationship records and Family Sharing. The paid tier is most relevant for people processing several cards at once or wanting those extra ways to find and organize contacts. Occasional scanners may find the free allowance sufficient.
Kardhaus fits Apple's ecosystem: it supports iCloud private-database sync and lists Apple Contacts, Apple Maps and AirDrop among its integrations. Import options include vCard, CSV and card photos with column mapping; capture can also use the Lock Screen and Camera Control. The trade-off is platform scope: the app currently targets iPhone, and it does not offer CRM sync. Choose it for offline, on-device scanning and portable exports; look elsewhere if Android access or a direct CRM connection is central to your workflow.
