Our verdict on Hurley
Hurley is an AI-led user research platform for product teams, startups, and scale-ups. It supports video, voice, and chat interviews, with AI-generated interview scripts, automated participant recruiting setup, recordings, transcripts, summaries, quotes, citations, and AI-powered insights reports. Teams can also chat with interview data, while the platform provides recruiting banners, direct links, and email templates. The free plan makes Hurley a practical starting point for teams that want to organize AI-supported interviews without committing to a paid tier.
The plan structure is straightforward. Free includes unlimited projects, interview formats across video, voice, and chat, automated recruiting setup, recordings and transcripts, AI-powered insights reports, and chat with data. Pro includes all Free features plus direct Slack support. Done for you adds an onboarding workshop and a dedicated user researcher to the Pro offering. The product also documents participant recruitment through both a customer user base and Hurley’s panel, with human research oversight available through the done-for-you service.
Hurley’s strongest fit is for teams that want a focused, web-based research workflow with recruiting and AI synthesis in the same product. Slack appears in the platform through support and a Slack agent, but Slack is the only listed integration, so teams seeking a broader connected ecosystem should assess fit carefully. Choose Hurley for accessible interview setup, built-in recruiting materials, and research summaries that include citations. Consider an alternative if native integrations beyond Slack, a non-web platform, or a more extensive paid-plan feature split is central to the buying decision.
