Our verdict on HorizonIQ Proxmox Private Cloud
HorizonIQ Proxmox Private Cloud is a fully managed, single-tenant hosting service for businesses that need dedicated virtualized infrastructure. HorizonIQ manages the hardware, Proxmox VE deployment and configuration, firewall setup, monitoring, patching, and virtual-machine operations. Customers receive access to the Proxmox management interface and the Compass Portal, including console and API access. The service is positioned for small and medium-sized businesses as well as enterprise workloads, with configurable infrastructure, networking, backup, and disaster-recovery options.
The published plans span a general Private Cloud offering and three managed configurations: Essential, Advanced, and Ultimate. Essential provides three nodes with 24 cores and 48 threads per node, 128 GB of RAM per node, 1 TB of hyperconverged storage, Proxmox VE, and a 10 Gbps virtual firewall. Advanced increases each node to 36 cores, 72 threads, and 192 GB of RAM, while Ultimate provides 48 cores, 96 threads, and 256 GB of RAM per node. A one-year Ultimate configuration is also listed with 1 TB of total storage and 10 Gbps per-node networking. Tier-specific pricing requires contact with sales, and the service includes a 14-day trial.
Operational coverage is the main reason to consider HorizonIQ. Managed deployment, firewall configuration, OS patching, infrastructure oversight, VM management, and access through both a web interface and API reduce the administrative work associated with running Proxmox. Optional onsite and offsite backups, along with an optional disaster recovery environment, extend the service for organizations with continuity requirements. Choose it if dedicated infrastructure and managed Proxmox operations matter more than self-service simplicity. Organizations seeking an included backup layer or a narrower, lower-touch hosting service should compare alternatives.
