Our verdict on HorizonIQ Bare Metal
HorizonIQ Bare Metal provides single-tenant dedicated servers for teams running web hosting, file storage, databases, big data, AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing workloads. Its three configurations—Essential Bare Metal, Advanced Bare Metal, and Ultimate Bare Metal—cover different processor, core, memory, and bandwidth requirements. Customers can choose Intel Xeon, Intel Xeon Gold, or AMD EPYC hardware, with SSD storage and custom NVMe configurations available. Each server includes one public IPv4 address and 10 TB of outbound bandwidth.
The plan structure is defined by hardware capacity and connectivity. Essential Bare Metal uses Intel Xeon E3, E5, and Xeon E CPUs, with 4 to 12 cores, 32 to 128 GB of memory, and 2×480 GB SSD storage. Advanced Bare Metal moves to dual-socket Intel Xeon E5 and Silver CPUs, 16 to 28 cores, 64 to 128 GB of memory, the same SSD layout, and 10Gbps public bandwidth. Ultimate Bare Metal offers Intel Xeon Gold and AMD EPYC processors, 16 to 36 cores, 128 to 192 GB of memory, 2×480 GB SSD storage, and 10Gbps public bandwidth. The published plans are suited to workloads where dedicated resources and hardware selection matter more than a bundled application platform.
Compass Portal adds console access, API integration, and real-time analytics, giving technical teams a management layer alongside the server itself. The service also includes 24/7 support, while optional managed infrastructure services can reduce the operational burden for teams that do not want an entirely unmanaged environment. DDoS mitigation and backup are available as separate services, so buyers should account for those requirements independently. HorizonIQ Bare Metal fits teams that need configurable dedicated infrastructure with portal and API access. It is less suitable for buyers seeking an all-inclusive managed hosting package with every operational safeguard bundled into the server plan.
