Our verdict on GoodEvent Layout
GoodEvent Layout is a browser-based floor-plan tool for event professionals, including wedding planners, marquee and tent hire companies, corporate event teams, and venues. Its workspace combines drag-and-drop editing with scaled dimensions, positioning, rotation, snap-to-grid tools, seating arrangements, table plans, custom equipment, and event-specific templates. Teams can share interactive layouts for client commenting, edit together in real time, keep version history, and give mobile access to event setup crews.
The free plan provides a full drawing suite, more than 500 assets, a capacity calculator, three projects, and a limit of 50 objects per plan. It supports PNG export, with a GoodEvent watermark. The paid Starter plan costs £25 per month when billed monthly or £20 per month when billed annually. Starter adds unlimited layouts, high-resolution exports without the watermark, kit list export, white-label options, embedding, a custom domain, Live Ops stock availability checks, and automatic attachment of floor plans to Ops quotes. This makes the free tier suitable for smaller or occasional projects, while recurring production work is better matched to Starter.
GoodEvent Layout also fits teams already working across the GoodEvent ecosystem. It integrates with GoodEvent Maps, GoodEvent Business, GoodEvent Docs, and GoodEvent Planner, linking layouts with site planning, event documents, quotes, bookings, and proposals.
