Our verdict on GitAtomic

GitAtomic is a native Windows Git client for software engineers who want visual repository management alongside command-line access. Its interface covers working trees, staging, commits, branches, rebasing, merging, searching, and repository history. The product is aimed at Windows users who prefer a graphical workflow but still want an integrated terminal, rather than a GUI that replaces command-line access entirely. It supports Windows 7 and later and includes a 30-day trial before subscription purchase.

Pricing is organized by commercial status and license volume. Non-Commercial plans cost $17.99 per license for 1-50, 50-100, and 100+ licenses. Commercial pricing is $34.99 per license for 1-50 licenses, $27.99 for 50-100 licenses, and $17.99 for 100+ licenses. The paid plans include the same listed product capabilities, while the published pricing does not describe separate feature tiers. Buyers should therefore compare the license category and quantity rather than expect a feature-based plan ladder.

GitAtomic’s strongest area is visual control over everyday Git work. Graphical staging and unstaging can target selected lines and hunks, adjustable tree views help inspect repository history, and advanced commit search supports navigation through project changes. Graphical interactive rebase, drag-and-drop support, customizable layouts, and color themes add flexibility, while submodule and subtree workflows extend its repository coverage. The integrated terminal is synchronized with GUI actions, and the product includes GitHub pull-request support plus integrations with GitHub and Visual Studio Team Services. Choose GitAtomic if you need these controls on Windows and value a low per-license starting price for non-commercial use. Choose another client if you require macOS or Linux support, a free plan, or a more recently updated release history.
