Our verdict on GenieFit
GenieFit is an Android calorie and food diary app for people who want to track meals and macronutrients, including homemade Indian food. It combines photo, text, and voice logging with AI estimates for calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Before an entry goes into the diary, users can review and adjust the foods and portions. That edit step makes the app a fit for people who want AI-assisted logging without treating an estimate as final. It also offers food search, supported barcode scanning, a daily diary, meal history, and tracking for water, steps, and workouts.
The standout feature is the range of meal-entry methods paired with editable estimates. An AI coach can answer nutrition and training questions, while Health Connect is the listed integration. Meal logging and the AI coach are described as free, and Premium is optional. The published terms state a Premium price of ₹199 per month; a seven-day trial is listed, with no card required. The listed Premium plan only identifies the subscription, so buyers should focus on the free meal logging and coach capabilities when assessing the app, rather than assume a particular feature is reserved for Premium.
GenieFit suits Android users who want a flexible food diary and are comfortable reviewing AI-generated entries. Water, steps, workouts, and data export broaden it beyond calorie logging, and email is the listed support channel. Its Android-only availability makes it a poor fit for anyone seeking an iOS app or a cross-platform workflow. Barcode support is for supported products, so packaged-food lookup is not universal. Choose GenieFit for varied meal input and an AI coach on Android; consider another option if platform breadth or unrestricted barcode coverage matters more.
