Our verdict on Fnac
Fnac’s Android app brings the French retailer’s shopping catalogue and account tools into one mobile app. It is aimed at shoppers who browse categories such as books, electronics, games and home goods, then want to buy in the app or manage an order. The free app also supports barcode search, wishlists, parcel tracking, store availability checks and loyalty access, making it most relevant to existing Fnac shoppers rather than people looking for a general-purpose marketplace.
The store features are a practical focus: shoppers can check whether a product is available at a preferred store, choose pickup for eligible products and locations, and access a pickup code. Delivery is also an option, and order and parcel tracking keep purchase status in the app. Barcode scanning offers another route to product search, while wishlists let shoppers save items for later. These tools make the app useful when a purchase involves both online browsing and a Fnac store visit, though pickup depends on product and location eligibility.
Fnac members can access a digital Fnac+ card, loyalty balance and member offers, alongside notifications about promotions, news and store events. The app is free and supports in-app purchases, but its platform coverage is Android only. It suits Fnac customers who value store availability, pickup and membership tools in one place; shoppers who do not buy from Fnac, or who need an app on another platform, should look elsewhere.
