Our verdict on Eventyay
Eventyay is an open-source event management platform for conferences, meetups, concerts, and other events. It brings together public event pages, ticket shops, configurable registration fields, ticket products, orders, payments, check-in, badges, speaker workflows, schedules, communications, and Android applications. Organizers can run events through a hosted service or self-host the platform, with web, API, and Android access available. Its strongest fit is for teams that want control over their event stack while supporting both physical and virtual programming.
The platform’s ecosystem is suited to online event delivery and payment workflows. Integrations include Jitsi and BigBlueButton for virtual sessions, Stripe and PayPal for payments, and HLS/RTMP and WebRTC for streaming. The virtual feature set extends beyond video with chat, polls, Q&A, networking, and recordings. On the event-operations side, QR-code redemption, badge printing, mass email, quotas, variations, add-ons, bundles, and vouchers give organizers several ways to shape registration and attendance flows.
Eventyay’s breadth is its defining trade-off. It can support the event lifecycle from public discovery through registration, speaker coordination, online sessions, and onsite check-in, but that range may be more than a small organizer needs for a straightforward ticketed event. Self-hosting also gives teams a deployment choice rather than a single operating model. Choose Eventyay when open-source control, virtual programming, and a broad event workflow matter; choose a more narrowly focused tool when the priority is a simpler event setup with fewer moving parts.
