Our verdict on ElephantBell

ElephantBell is a free Android reminder app for people who want alerts tied to schedules, places, or time spent in selected apps. It supports daily, weekly, and one-off reminders, plus advance alerts on days before a reminder is due. Its separate weekend task list and daily habit counters also suit users who want to keep recurring tasks and simple habit tracking alongside reminders.

The app's range of triggers is its main distinction. Users can set location reminders for arrival or departure and configure a radius, or ask for an alert after spending a chosen amount of time in a selected app. The vendor describes time- and app-based reminders as usable offline. Reminder entry can be AI-assisted by scanning text, speaking, or pasting it; notifications also offer one-tap mark-done and snooze actions. These options favor Android users who want fewer steps between noticing a task and recording it, though the product does not extend beyond Android.

ElephantBell makes sense for solo users who value varied reminder triggers and a free app over a cross-platform setup. It is a narrower fit for anyone who needs reminders synced across different operating systems or wants support beyond email. The vendor describes the app as free, and no paid tier is presented here, so buyers seeking a choice of plans or a fuller service arrangement may prefer another option. Its feature set is most relevant when location and app-usage alerts are central rather than occasional extras.
